Baked Donuts. How could I not try this recipe within the first month of getting
Ina’s new cookbook?! I know I should be sticking to the healthy, resolution
state-of-mind, but again, how could I NOT make these. We had all of the
ingredients in the kitchen and nothing to do during the second wave of polar
vortex air. Before the first batch was fully flipped onto the cooling rack, Dan
had eaten a donut; in fact, half of them were gone before I could melt the butter
for dipping the donuts in cinnamon sugar. Not ashamed. These donuts are
delicious and I wouldn’t be surprised if they are all gone within 24 hours. Tip: I'd recommend only sugaring one side of the donut as the batter itself is fairly sweet.
